My bunny, tasty soup, decided she didn't want to go to bed so she's stayed in mine. She's stretched out completely flat next to me, pressed until my tummy and chest, and keeps dreaming. Her head keeps twitching, ears flicking around, paws scrunching up and extending. She keeps letting out the occasional sigh

I cannot begin to tell you how rare this is for a bunny to behave this way. By their nature they are extremely wary, even of people they know. Not many will fully relax around people or outside of their enclosure, moving the moment you do. But hardly any will fully relax enough to actually go to sleep not only in the presence of a person, but while being petted and cuddled 😭

@iconography that's really cute. I don't think our bunny Galaxy has ever fallen asleep outside of her apartment

@InternetEh it's so rare to have one that will relax like this while being touched! Most are so wary and antisocial... Until recently even she was. Terribly so

@iconography I would describe Gal as wary, but I think she is a little bit social

@InternetEh that's good then! It's so nice to be able to fuss them and know they trust you

@iconography 😭I remember mine snuggling up, but never actually sleeping like that. So pure.

@edebill snuggling up is an absolute blessing in itself! So many people never get that 😭

@iconography I was too young to realize how special it was. Petunia was huge and formidable, so maybe she didn’t need to trust so much.

@iconography It speaks to your character and vibe that she trusts you this deeply. Your animal-related content tends to have a deeply relaxing effect as well.

@Cyborgneticz no no no, please do not want it based on mine. I had 7 years of hell with this bunny and I am still suspicious she is only being like this because she is maybe sick ;/
One person once got one because of my videos and ignoring my words, realised their error within days haha

@Cyborgneticz if you ever think you might want one, make sure you look at things said on owner forums as well as rabbit societies. The latter paint a rosy picture. Most times I speak up about it loads of rabbit owners chime in with ways their bunny is so difficult for them

@iconography I'm not in a position for any pet right now, but I'll remember that. We will probably get a dog before anything, just so we can train it for seizures.

sad

@iconography but yea definitely reasonable to be suspicious, our previous bun only acted super friendly like this the night she died :/

and our current one is very cautious, like normal. sometimes she'll come knock over bags if I put them out

sad

@amsomniac we rushed her to the vet immediately when she first started to be like this, because every time she turned nice previously she had been extremely sick. They found nothing wrong, so I've been expecting the worst since and it's still not happening after 2 months.

Before this she was brash, confrontational and antisocial. It was rare she would accept petting.
Her cagemate was more friendly, as males usually are, but still very wary of people
